​Seanna Smallwood, born Sean Sherrie, is the visionary founder of Communities We Love On, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to providing essential resources to abuse victims across the nation. With a career driven by a combination of empathy and determination, Seanna has led numerous initiatives aimed at empowering individuals to break free from cycles of hardship. In addition to her work in advocacy, she is the founder of Will Be D.D. and has spearheaded several projects aimed at creating meaningful change. Her unique blend of INFP personality traits, known for deep empathy and creativity, combined with the assertiveness and leadership of her High-D (DiSC) characteristics, defines her dynamic approach to life and work.

Born in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and raised in Southern Maryland, Seanna’s career spans real estate, mortgage lending, entrepreneurship, and nonprofit leadership. Each role is a testament to her relentless drive to make an impact.

Education and Career
Seanna’s journey reflects an unwavering commitment to personal growth and professional mastery. She began her academic pursuits at the College of Southern Maryland, La Plata Campus in 2001. By focusing on Business, Management Strategy, and Marketing, she was able to curate real estate and finance sales processes to drive tremendous increases in revenue, raising the bar for local real estate professionals. She later shifted her focus to Communications and Psychology at Walden University, where she maintained a 3.8 GPA, ranked in the Top 10% of her Class, was inducted as a lifetime Presidential Member of the National Society of Leadership Success (NSLS), and is an honored member of Golden Key International Honor Society.

Professionally, with over three decades of experience in real estate and mortgage finance, she is a Subject Matter Expert (SME), managing to rank as a top producer as a REALTOR® and Mortgage Broker. Blending her INFP creativity with her High-D leadership by pioneering the launch of the world's first real estate agent owned and operated website, Real Estate 1 Stop Shop. By 2002, the website ranked #1 in Google for high-value keywords for the industry. This innovative platform was the first to provide a comprehensive service for buying, selling, financing, and maintaining real estate—an approach that underscores her ability to identify needs and craft practical solutions - pioneering the industry landscape at the ripe age of just twenty-eight.

Entrepreneurship and Consumer Advocacy
Seanna’s entrepreneurial spirit drives her to create and lead. As CEO of Real Estate 1 Stop Shop, Inc., she extended her vision by incorporating mortgage brokerage services, providing clients with seamless and efficient support. Always knowing who she is, in 2019, she took her passion for advocacy to new heights by founding Communities We Love On, Inc. The nonprofit’s mission is to teach individuals how to recognize and break free from cycles of abuse. Seanna's understanding of traumas associated with DV/IPV creates greater risk for children, especially teenagers. Seanna’s deep empathy and understanding of human emotion, hallmarks of her personality, fuel this project. Meanwhile, her ambitious determination to transform compassion into action, creating organizations that make tangible, lasting impacts.

Overcoming Personal Adversity and Fueling Passion
Seanna’s life has been marked by significant challenges, including surviving various forms of social, economic, and spousal abuse, both personally and professionally. As a single mother, her experiences led to some of the most treacherous financial struggles. Through her strength and by the power of her love for her children, instead of succumbing to these difficulties, Seanna used her experiences to drive her advocacy and leadership. Her idealism, a core part of who she is, drives her motivations to create a better world, whilst demonstrating the leadership skills needed to turn those ideals into concrete results.

Authorship
Her journey of overcoming adversity is not just a story of survival—it’s a catalyst for her tireless work helping others. In 2013, Seanna published her first book, Dear God: Book 1 ~ A Story from Hell to Hope, a memoir of her traumatic childhood. In 2018, Seanna published her second book, Letters to the Soul ~ The Guide to Spiritual Awakening. Through Communities We Love On, Inc., she has created a space where survivors can find the support and tools they need to rebuild their lives. Her passionate drive forward didn't end there... She is also the founder of FlutterForce.io, a subsidiary profit center of myProGenie, which focuses on operating under Fractional Contracts, Seanna helps nonprofit organizations with strategizing unique opportunities, provides specialized consulting for Lean Six Sigma projects, and assists partnered organizations with the creation and deployment of Integrated Marketing Communications Programs.

Advocacy for Student Success
Seanna’s passion for helping others led her to launch the Advocacy for Student Success program. This initiative is a direct extension of her dedication to personal growth and her drive to help individuals overcome barriers. Her background in education, coupled with her unique blend of personality traits, makes her particularly suited to advocating for students. Seanna’s intuitive side brings empathy, creativity, and a deep understanding of individual needs, providing the insight needed to develop innovative solutions and advocate for systemic changes for middle and high school students. Seanna is also certified as a Professional Talent Developer (CPTD), and in the classroom, her ability to connect on a personal level offers learners the support they need to navigate life’s challenges. Her drive to enact real change ensures that her programs don’t just offer temporary relief but create lasting pathways to success. As a mother of three children of her own, Seanna has over twenty-five years' experience advocating on behalf of her own children.

A New Beginning: I AM Sean Sherrie
In a bold step toward fully embracing her authentic self, Seanna has chosen to return to the name she was given at birth—Sean Sherrie. This powerful declaration of identity marks a new chapter in her life and work. Through the founding of I AM Sean Sherrie, LLC, Seanna continues to push forward in her mission to help others, all while honoring her journey of self-discovery and personal empowerment. This new venture will provide professional consulting services to both nonprofit organizations and its for-profit counterparts, while focusing on closing the $3.8 billion gap in cross-system collaboration for underserved communities, and youth and victim advocacy.
